Hello all,
I am excited to announce that The People Hive gallery is re-opening on Tuesday July 7th!
We couldn’t have even thought about this without all of the support of our dedicated volunteers. Over the past few weeks we have completed thorough risk assessments to ensure all our staff and volunteers are safe and we will also be implementing rigorous hygiene standards and guidelines for everyone who assists in The People Hive. Copies of these documents are available should you request them.
Whilst I consider our charity to be creative and innovative the past few months have really put this all to the test, but as always The People Hive team have worked hard with limited resources to develop creative ways to keep in touch with our clients and provide them with regular contact and the comfort that someone is always there on the end of the phone. We continue to provide activities via email and deliver activities for individuals that do not access computers. We also continue to visit those who are feeling isolated at the moment.
We clearly cannot begin to deliver our services in the way we were doing prior to the pandemic, so we are beginning to look at further different ways in which we can deliver our much needed and valuable services to our existing clients and new clients that may now need some support.
We are looking at using technology to provide some of our regular activities such as arts and crafts, picture bingo and the book club and thinking about how we can run some outdoor activities that will be safe and managed in accordance with government guidance.
We will keep you updated with our progress and welcome any thoughts or ideas you may have on how we can safely deliver existing services or any new ideas you can come up with, we are always willing to give new things a go!
Thank you for your continued support.
Best wishes
Samantha
